Most people are going to suggest Tim Burton. But goths also enjoy older films. Check out the Mummy, Nosferatu, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Frankenstein, the Wolfman, Metropolis, and the Cabinet of Dr Caligari

I’m not sure if this one fits in to dark or gothic movie as I am not too sure what that means. The only film that springs to mind is Dark City. Worth watching.
